UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, Department of Pediatrics, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, and the Pediatric Pain and Palliative Care Program (PPPCP) seek a qualified candidate to serve in a clinician-educator role in the PPPCP with an academic appointment in the Health Science series based on academic and training qualifications. The clinical focus of the PPPCP is complex chronic pain as well as palliative care in infants, children, and adolescents. This full time position is in a highly academic department focused on research, clinical practice and teaching medical students, residents and fellows.
Duties will primarily include patient care, teaching, and participation in creative program development or scholarly efforts, such as clinical research, that will lead to academic advancement. Applicants must be certified by the American Board of Pediatrics or other board-eligible residency and must have completed a pain or palliative care fellowship and be eligible to sit for the boards. The candidate must be licensed or eligible to be licensed to practice medicine in California.
