The UCLA Department of Ethnomusicology invites applications for a part-time lecturer position in World Music for Fall , Winter, and Spring quarters of the 2018-19 academic year. Salary commensurate with applicant qualifications and experience; percentage of appointment commensurate with teaching load.
Responsibilities will include individual student teaching supervision and assigned undergraduate ethnomusicology courses. Additional responsibilities may include advising credential candidates on preparing standardized assessment documents and other issues related to certification.
Applicants should have an established regional, national, and/or international reputation as a music educator with expertise and experience in the development of world music curriculum including its meaning and importance to contemporary culture as well as its history and impact. A post-baccalaureate degree is required.
