Description

The Department of Pediatrics at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and the UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital seeks candidates for appointment as Health Sciences Clinical Instructor or Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. This is a full-time position. Duties include patient care, teaching and scholarly endeavors. The candidate must have completed a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology fellowship from an accredited program by July 2018 and be fully competent in the clinical care of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology patients. The clinical assignments can include up to 12 weeks of inpatient service per year with the remaining time spent in outpatient clinics, consultation service, procedure service as well as community outreach where UCLA provides clinical care. The ideal candidate will have a portfolio of scholarly activities that could lead to future external grant funding and academic promotion. Candidates with clinical interest in bleeding disorders and hemoglobinopathies are particularly encouraged to apply. Applicants must be eligible to be licensed to practice medicine in California and be eligible for certification by the American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics and sub-specialty Boards in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
