“The Department of Economics in the UCLA College of Letters and Sciences invites highly qualified applicants for temporary, non-senate positions as Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Continuing Lecturer, or Senior Continuing Lecturer for the Winter 2019 and Spring 2019 quarters. This is a temporary, non-tenure track appointment. Lectureship appointments are part time and made quarter by quarter, as dictated by instructional needs.
Candidates must have at least two years of teaching experience and a demonstrated record of distinguished undergraduate teaching, or proven industry expertise. Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. in hand by date of hire and must be able to handle a large class environment. The department seeks candidates with expertise in the following fields: principles of economics, intermediate microeconomics and macroeconomics, statistics, and econometrics to teach undergraduate courses. Exact courses will be discussed upon review of applications. Upper division elective courses are a possibility.
