Temporary Faculty Positions

The Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Los Angeles, invites applications for temporary and visiting appointments. Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in a relevant area and should show evidence of excellence in teaching and research. Preference will be given to applicants whose research connects to faculty interests in the department.

Postdoctoral Positions:

Assistant Adjunct Professorships with Specialization in Financial Instruction: Applicants for these positions must show interest and competence to teach financial and related mathematics, such as probability or statistics, at the upper-division undergraduate level. The teaching load depends on the qualification of the candidate and is four to six one-quarter courses per year. Initial appointments are for two years with a possible renewal up to a maximum of four years.
