Position description

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center (JCCC) at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), seek an Associate or Full Professor for the position as Chief of the Gynecologic Oncology service. This position is a tenured faculty position and confers membership in the Academic Senate. Candidates should have demonstrated leadership experience with a record of success as a cutting-edge clinician, effective educator, and accomplished scholar. Basic qualifications require the minimum of an M.D. and subspecialty board certification in gynecologic oncology. Candidates should be fully engaged in providing state-of-the-art, patient-centered oncologic care with experience in all aspects of open, trans-vaginal, minimally invasive, and pelvic surgeries, as well as administration of adjuvant therapies and clinical trial expertise. She/he should be enthusiastic about engaging in academically productive scientific inquiry, augmenting an active clinical program, serving the university community and educating medical students, residents, and fellows.

UCLA has a NCI designated cancer center, the Jonsson Cancer Center. Candidates should have an active interest in participating in the activities and vision of the Cancer Center. Candidates who have competed successfully for peer-reviewed funding are strongly encouraged to apply.
