Position description

The UCLA Department of Music invites applications for a part-time lecturer position in piano, as a sabbatical replacement for spring quarter of the 2018-19 academic year. Salary commensurate with applicant qualifications and experience; percentage of appointment commensurate with studio size.
Responsibilities will include individual instruction and recital preparation of graduate and undergraduate piano students, as well as participation in juries. Applicants should have at least 8 years of experience teaching piano technique to students of all levels and have extensive knowledge of the piano repertoire. A post-baccalaureate degree is preferred. Additional responsibilities may include teaching piano studio class, coaching chamber music ensembles, and performing on faculty chamber music recitals.
