Vietnamese Lecturer
Position description
The Department of Asian Languages and Cultures (ALC) at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) invites applications for a part-time or full-time lecturer position in Vietnamese language starting Fall 2019.
Qualified candidates must have native or near-native proficiency in Vietnamese and English. Candidates should have a M.A. degree in applied linguistics, Vietnamese language/linguistics, education, language pedagogy, and/or other language education-related areas. At least three years of experience in teaching all levels of Vietnamese language courses at college level is desirable. Experience in instructional technologies and development of online (hybrid) materials is highly desirable.

Only those with previous teaching and training experience, and who have an M.A. or higher degree should apply.
Complete application should include: 1) cover letter; 2) teaching statement; 3) curriculum vitae; 4) sample sets of student evaluations, 5) names of three references, 6) sample lessons for an intermediate class and for an advanced class; and 7) link to video demonstration of recent classroom teaching (link can be included in CV).
