The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at UCLA, Division of Anatomic Pathology, is searching for an outstanding MD or MD/PhD to serve as a neuropathologist. AP or AP/CP board certification is essential, and neuropathology fellowship training is preferred. An interest in neurodegeneration, with prior clinical and translational research experience and publications in neurodegeneration, is preferred. The appointment would be at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor and prior sign out experience is preferred.

The candidate will be responsible for signing out cases on the neuropathology service, including neuropathology frozen section coverage. The incumbent will be responsible for providing neuropathology leadership and support for clinical, translational and basic science research at UCLA in neurodegeneration. This will include working closely with faculty from other Departments, such as Neurology, Neurosurgery and basic science departments, separately or as part of activities of the UCLA Mary Easton Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. Along with other faculty in the Division, the candidate will be responsible for participating in conferences including tumor boards and will share responsibility for training residents and fellows. Creative contributions in clinical, educational or research projects is expected; UCLA offers a highly collaborative research environment that promotes interactions among faculty in the School of Medicine. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
