Description

The UCLA Department of Classics invites applications for a Visiting Lecturer position for the academic year 2019-20, pending Dean’s budget approval. The position is open to broadly trained Classicists who are able to teach large lecture courses in classical civilization as well as Greek and/or Latin language at all undergraduate levels, including teaching and supervision of our elementary language programs.

Applicants are required to hold a PhD by the start of the appointment, and preference will be given to those who have demonstrated effectiveness in lecture courses. The department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through teaching and research.
