Position description

An exciting project scientist research position is available in Dr. Dinesh Rao’s and Dr. Jennifer King’s lab in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with interests in post-transcriptional gene regulation in malignancies and autoimmunity. We have recently published several papers on the role of microRNAs and RNA-binding proteins in normal and malignant hematopoiesis. For this position a PhD is required and experience in molecular biology and biochemistry and familiarity with mouse models is preferred.

The lab is an exciting place to do cutting-edge research with human clinical translational studies and the potential to develop independent research projects. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with students and post-docs at various levels of training and collaborate with clinicians to test translational concepts. In addition, we have several collaborators that are helping us develop cutting-edge molecular biological techniques, which presents an outstanding opportunity to do interdisciplinary research. Lastly, excellent mentoring will be provided by the PIs in the candidate’s career development.

Interested candidates should assemble a CV, three references, and a brief research statement.
