Position description

A Project Scientist role is available in the Brain-Gut Interaction Laboratory at UCLA David Geffen Medical School, and VA West Los Angeles VA to participate in a NIH consortium grant on morphological, molecular and physiological profiling of autonomic nervous innervation of the mammalian gut. The position will offer excellent opportunity to obtain training in new methodological approaches including RNAseq, tissue clearing techniques, SP8 DIVE microsystem, viral tracing and use of different software reconstruction and tracing programs.

The successful candidate will study the morphological profiles of neural pathways, 3D imaging of single neurons and connectivity of microcircuits using viral tracing, tissue clearing, immunohistochemistry, multiple labeling, and 3D digital neuronal tracing and image reconstruction with newly developed programs. Experience and interest in neuroanatomical and immunohistochemical studies and imaging processing of the nervous system is suitable. Please include your CV and contact details for references CV.
