Position description

As part of a major expansion, the Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering Department in the Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science at UCLA is conducting a search for exceptional faculty candidates in aerospace-related research areas. Aerospace disciplines of interest include, but are not limited to: spacecraft/aircraft design, space/air missions, astronautics/aeronautics, electric and hybrid vehicles, structures, materials, remote sensing, power, propulsion, aerospace science, fluid-structure interactions, guidance/navigation/systems, control systems, and other aerospace-related cyber-physical systems. Applicants are sought at all levels. Our hiring priorities focus on the frontiers of aerospace research and the demonstrated potential for building a strong program of high impact and originality. We are interested in outstanding candidates who are committed to excellence in teaching and scholarship and to contributing positively to a diverse campus climate.

This position requires a Ph.D. or equivalent in engineering or a closely related discipline at date of hire. Applications are due January 05, 2020. Applications received after this date cannot be considered.
