Position description

The Department of Emergency Medicine at UCLA is seeking a faculty member to join our full time, core faculty in the next academic year.
The position will be based at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, associated with the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center (RRMC), a state-of-the-art university teaching hospital on the main campus in Westwood. RRMC is a 520 bed, level 1 trauma center, with 52,000 annual ED visits, and is rated as one of the top hospitals in the U.S. The physician will work clinically in the ED. All faculty share responsibilities for patient care, and teaching our residents and UCLA medical students.

Our EM residency program was founded in 1978 and is shared between the Westwood campus and Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. We currently have 15 residents per year in a PGY 1-4 format, and offer fellowships in research, ultrasound, administration, health equity, and medical education.

We seek candidates primarily at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Candidates must be Emergency Medicine residency trained, ABEM certified, eligible for California medical licensure, and qualified for faculty appointment in the UCLA School of Medicine.
