Position description

The UCLA Department of Philosophy is pleased to invite applications for a tenured professorship at the rank of either Full or Associate Professor.

AOS: Metaphysics, Epistemology; Philosophy of Science (including Philosophy of Biology); Logic.

AOC: Open. The department has special interests also in the fields of history of philosophy, and philosophy of gender and of race.

Responsibilities: Four (quarter-length) courses per year, at both the undergraduate and graduate level; graduate supervision; usual departmental duties. A Ph.D. in Philosophy and a strong record of excellent teaching and scholarly publication is expected.
