Position description

The Department of Psychology is currently hiring for an Associate Specialist. For more information regarding the Specialist series, please refer to the Call, Specialist Series: https://www.apo.ucla.edu/policies-forms/the-call/appendices/appendix-23-specialist-series

Criteria:
Candidate must have a Master’s or PhD in Psychology, Education, or a related field. They must also have experience teaching the online course: Introduction to Statistics: A Modeling Approach. Job responsibilities include (1) producing a first draft of curriculum and supporting materials to accompany the online course: Introduction to Statistics: A Modeling Approach for use in high school classes, (2) developing a summer onboarding program and training high school teachers in the content of the course, (3) supporting faculty as they teach the course, including trouble-shooting implementation issues in classes, and (4) providing input to the revision/improvement process.
The appointment will be for 100% starting January 2020, pending funding.
