Position description

The Department of Head and Neck Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA currently seeks applicants for an Academic Microvascular and Reconstructive Surgeon at the Assistant/Associate/Professor level to join our growing and dynamic academic faculty in the In-Residence series. Academic appointment will be commensurate with experience.

Qualified candidates must hold an MD degree or equivalent, be board certified/eligible in Otolaryngology, and have or be eligible for a California medical license. Candidates must have completed a microvascular surgery fellowship and have demonstrated excellence in teaching and research.

Candidates should be fully engaged in providing state-of-the-art, patient-centered care. Primary duties and interest involve development of a research program, applying for extramural funding and teaching and clinical duties.
Academic teaching duties will include supervision of medical student and resident research projects. In addition, the applicant is also expected to be proficient in the full breadth and depth of microvascular and reconstructive surgery. The applicant should also expect to perform clinical duties at one of our satellite facilities.
