Position description

The UCLA Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System is seeking an Adjunct Assistant Professor candidate.

The candidate will be expected to participate in research related to biomedical optics and the field of developmental cardiac mechanics. Additional research focus will be on the role of Light-Sheet Microscopy for 4-D imaging of zebrafish and fetal mouse hearts in response to injury and regeneration. Working knowledge of medical and optical instrumentation is required. Will also work in collaboration with P.I. Tzung Hsiai, MD, PhD. The designing and performing of experiments is expected as well as presenting the results in publications and at meetings.

The candidate will be required to teach medical students, residents, fellows and postdocs in the laboratory.

A PhD in Biomedical Engineering is required.
