Position description

The Department of Neurosurgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is seeking a qualified individual at the Assistant or Associate rank in the Project Scientist Series to join the UCLA Department of Neurosurgery.

Candidates must have a Ph.D in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. Candidates should have experience in research areas that include but are not exclusive to basic and applied research in neural activity understanding brain function and behavior relevant to human systems neuroscience. This position requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience in neural signal analysis, with experience with both signal acquisition and analyses. Previous experience in Neurotechnology is encouraged. Clinical translation is one of our major goals.

The incumbent will design studies, prepare manuscripts for publication in scientific journals, and assist with preparing and submitting grant proposals. This position will involve working in collaboration with trainees including undergraduate, graduate, medical students, as well as post-doctoral fellows.
