Position description

The UCLA Department of Radiology is recruiting for an Associate or Professor in the Health Sciences Clinical or in-Residence Academic Series for the position of Section Chief in the Breast Imaging Section. This position includes appointment as the Endowed Chair of the UCLA Iris Kantor – Women’s Health Center. Titles in these series are assigned to academically qualified individuals who are in full-time service of the University, who are excellent in teaching, at clinical service and who are engaged in research and other creative academic activities.

The successful candidate will join an outstanding team of breast imaging experts providing care to women in a network of UCLA Radiology's Breast and Women's Imaging Centers. The department is seeking outstanding candidates with the potential for exceptional research, and excellence in teaching, and also a clear commitment to enhancing the diversity of the faculty, graduate student population, and of the majors in .

A demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for disadvantaged students through teaching or mentoring activities is desired.
The Department is particularly interested in candidates who have experience working with students from a diverse background and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for disadvantaged students.
Experience in mentoring women and minorities in STEM fields is desired.
