Position description

The Department of Emergency Medicine at UCLA is seeking applicants to join our full time, core faculty in the next academic year.

The position will be based at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, associated with Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center (RRMC) and Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center (SMMC). RRMC is an academic medical center on the main UCLA campus in Westwood, 520 bed, level 1 trauma center, with 52,000 annual ED visits, and consistently rated as one of the top hospitals in the U.S. SMMC is an academic-affiliated community hospital with 50,000 annual ED visits. All faculty share responsibilities for patient care and teaching our residents and UCLA medical students.

Our EM residency program was founded in 1978 and is shared between the Westwood campus and Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. We currently have 15 residents per year in a PGY 1-4 format, and offer fellowships in research, ultrasound, administration, health equity, and medical education.

We seek candidates at the Assistant Professor level. Administrative fellowship training and advanced degree preferred. Candidates must be Emergency Medicine residency trained, ABEM certified, eligible for California medical licensure, and qualified for faculty appointment in the UCLA School of Medicine.
