The California Teach Program at UCLA seeks applications for a lecturer position to teach in its science-focused courses for Spring 2021 and the 2021-2022 academic year. Responsibilities will include lecturing, leading student discussions, overseeing student field experiences, conducting regularly scheduled office hours, and writing and grading exams and other assessments. Appointments are established quarter by quarter according to the instructional needs of the Program. Applications will be kept on file for consideration for openings that may occur. Qualified candidates must have a commitment to a social-justice approach to teaching, a PhD or EdD, a minimum of five years experience teaching secondary school science, experience leading teacher professional development programs and/or instructing in teacher credential programs. Experience in teaching at both the middle and high school level is desired.
