Position description

The UCLA Department of History seeks an Adjunct Assistant Professor of History to teach lower and upper division undergraduate courses in European History as needed by the department, particularly the history of the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. This is a 50% position and the applicant will teach three courses per academic year.

The department is particularly interested in candidates who have experience working with students from a diverse background and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for disadvantaged students. The department welcomes candidates whose experience in teaching, research or community service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and excellence.

Additional requirements are relevant research, scholarship, and teaching experience; a curriculum vitae, and the names of three references.
