Lecturer in Data Analysis

The Department of Political Science at UCLA seeks applications for, part-time lecturer positions during the 2021-2022 academic year.

We are looking for experienced candidates to fill up to 1 position teaching lower-division “6 – Introduction to Data Analysis.”

Responsibilities will include lecturing, conducting regularly scheduled office hours, and the writing and grading of exams. The ability to work cooperatively with other faculty and Department staff is essential.

Qualified candidates (a) must have a Ph.D. in political science or a Ph.D. Certificate of Completion by June 11, 2021, and (b) must be actively engaged in political science research reflecting current disciplinary standards.

Candidates should provide (1) a CV, (2) a 1-page teaching statement, (3) teaching evaluations, (4) sample course syllabi, (5) a statement on contributions to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and (5) a list of courses they can teach with an emphasis on those relevant to this ad (see courses in the 100-184 range in our course catalog:
https://catalog.registrar.ucla.edu/ucla-catalog19-20-270.html). Relevant syllabi or course summaries are a plus.
