Position description

Dr. Bruce Chorpita is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles. Responsibilities include working on two William T. Grant Foundation-funded multisite projects (collaborating site: University of South Carolina; Kimberly Becker, PI), as well as providing support to a global initiative for the measurement anxiety and depression in youth. These projects are exciting opportunities to connect with a large network of community-focused researchers across the US and around the world. The position is available in summer 2021.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Training and consultation with mental health supervisors and providers
• Supervising of graduate and undergraduate students at UCLA
• Performing data management tasks and statistical analysis
• Preparing scholarly manuscripts and conference presentations
• Assisting with grant applications
• Fostering a network of research collaborators through registration and data
sharing agreements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Doctorate in a relevant area of study prior to start date
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong leadership skills and potential to mentor graduate students
• Experience with management and analysis of complex datasets
• Experience working with community partners in under-resourced settings
and marginalized communities
