Position description

The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music invites applications for a full-time lecturer position for the 2021-22 academic year. This lecturer will teach courses supporting the Musicology major, the Music History and Industry major, and the Music Industry minor. Salary commensurate with applicant qualifications and experience.

Applicants should combine high-level musicological training with significant experience in the music industry, and demonstrate a record of exceptional teaching in the liberal arts. A Doctorate in Musicology, with a research specialization in popular music or the music industry, is required. Responsibilities will include individual student teaching supervision and assigned undergraduate and graduate music industry and musicology courses.

The application deadline is July 18, 2021, with an anticipated appointment date of October 1, 2021.
