The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at UCLA seeks applications for lecturer positions in Biochemistry lectures and laboratories during the 2021-2022 academic year.
Responsibilities will include lecturing, conducting regularly scheduled office hours, writing and grading exams and problem sets, and supervising teaching assistants for the courses. Lecturer appointments are established quarter by quarter according to the instructional needs of the department. Applications will be kept on file for consideration for any openings that may occur throughout the year. Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, or equivalent discipline and have significant experience and strong record in teaching chemistry or biochemistry at the college level.
Candidates should provide a curriculum vitae, statement of teaching philosophy (max 1 page), and should arrange for 3 letters of reference to be uploaded to UCLA Academic Recruit.
