Assistant Project Scientist in Ocular Motility (Demer Lab)

Position description
A Project Scientist position is available at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute and Department of Ophthalmology to study and computationally model the biomechanics of the ocular motor system, including loading of the eye by the optic nerve. We are seeking a scientist with experience in biomechanical testing and finite element analysis of soft tissues, including the eye, optic nerve, and extraocular muscles and tissues.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in bioengineering, mechanical engineering or related field and at least two years post-doctoral fellowship experience in mechanical engineering, bioengineering or related field
