Position description

The Koki Morizono lab in the Division of Hematology-Oncology, Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is seeking Postdoctoral candidates to research receptors and tropisms of enveloped viruses. The focus of the laboratory is developing targeting lentiviral vectors that can specifically transduce desired cell and tissue types. The lab also investigates the interactions between enveloped viruses and their receptors. Professional responsibilities include experimental design and execution, data analysis, team and conference presentations, literature reviews, and manuscript writing. A PhD is required, or must be a PhD candidate with a graduation date of June 2022 or earlier. The candidate will be encouraged to collaborate broadly with research teams in the David Geffen School of Medicine, the UCLA AIDS Institute, and others. Prior experience with molecular cloning is preferred.
