Position description

The section of Pediatric Radiology at UCLA offers a one-year ACGME approved fellowship position for the 2024-2025 academic year and is currently recruiting applicants for the 2024-2025 academic year. The section is staffed by six full-time board certified radiologists (including Peds/MSK, Peds/Neuro, and Peds/IR trained faculty). The Mattel Children's Hospital has 115 dedicated Pediatric beds (93 pediatric, 23 neonatal), the outpatient care facility also includes a children's clinic and pediatric radiology installations. Over 70,000 examinations are performed per year in general pediatric imaging as well as, pediatric fluoroscopic exams, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, PET-CT, and non-vascular interventional radiology. Pediatric Neuroradiology and Sports Medicine MRI training, as well as pediatric interventional procedures, Fetal MRI are included in the curriculum, while DCVI is an optional rotation.

The posted UC salary scales (https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/compensation/index.html) set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5 (https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/2022-23/oct-2022-salary-scales/t5-0.pdf). The salary for this position is $70,800 minimum - $89,575 maximum for PGY6. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan (https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf), which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

• MD/DO degree
• Completion of a Diagnostic Radiology Residency
• Must be eligible and obtain full licensure by the California Medical Board by the start of fellowship 07/01/2024
