Position description

The Department of Physics & Astronomy at UCLA seeks outstanding candidates for a full-time (100%) position as an Assistant Project Scientist in the area of theoretical particle physics and gravitational waves. The position will focus on gravitational wave physics.

Tasks include writing scientific papers. Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D. in Physics or a related field, 4+ years postdoctoral experience and a demonstrated background directly applicable to the tasks, including experience with black hole spin and worldline formalism in general relativity. The candidates should also be familiar with scattering amplitude formalisms for general relativity. Candidates should provide a curriculum vitae, a publication list, and a statement of contributions to equity, diversity, and inclusion.   • Ph.D. in Physics or a related field
