Position description

The Tudzarova Lab in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA invites applications for a Postdoctoral position.

Dr. Tudzarova's research program focuses on islet biology and beta-cell stress response, metabolism and regeneration. Ongoing projects include islet regeneration in type-2 diabetes and diabetes-pancreatic cancer link as well as developing mouse model of pancreatic cancer on diabetes background. Candidates will be expected to contribute to ongoing projects and expand novel independent research projects in a collaborative research environment.

Qualified applicants must have strong oral/written communication and critical thinking skills. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in imaging and a strong research background in mitochondrial biology. A Ph.D. is required.
