Position description
The Department of Medicine, Infectious Diseases Division, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA seeks an M.D. or M.D., Ph.D. physician-scientist for a full-time position at the associate or full professor rank commensurate with experience. Candidates must have an established independent research program, a record of clinical excellence, in addition to proven teaching abilities. His/her/their research focus should be translational with an emphasis on infectious diseases processes. Priority areas of interest include transplantation related issues, virology, bacterial resistance, mycology, emerging infectious diseases or tuberculosis. Rich opportunities are available for cooperative research with UCLA scientists in many disciplines. Candidates must be board certified in Infectious Diseases and licensed or licensable to practice medicine in the State of California.

Qualifications
An M.D. or M.D., Ph.D. is required.
Must be board certified in Infectious Diseases.
California medical license is required or must be eligible.
Candidate must have an established independent research program, a record of clinical excellence, and proven teaching abilities.
