Position description

The Division of Dermatology in the Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is currently recruiting for a full-time Project Scientist position at the Assistant, Associate, and full ranks.

The position will be in the Lo lab, and the candidate will assist with scientific management of the lab, including self-directed work on assigned research programs and day-to-day assistance of research experiments of other trainees. In addition, the candidate will help conduct analysis of WGS, WES, RNA-seq, CyTOF, ATAC-seq, scRNA-seq, TCR-seq and any other large data set (such as proteomic data). The candidate will be generating hypotheses or helping to design experiments performed by colleagues. Furthermore, the candidate will assist with the preparation of grant applications, faculty mentor’s scientific presentations, and manuscripts for peer review and publication. The candidate will be involved in the training and supervision of junior members of the Lo Lab. Finally, the candidate is expected to attend UCLA or national scientific conferences to present their work. This position requires a Ph.D.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

A Ph.D. is required.
