The Associate Project Scientist candidate will perform independent research on studies of gene therapy for blood cell disorders. Specifically, lead a team investigating methods for optimal gene addition to human hematopoietic stem cells, performing pre-clinical studies to support regulatory applications and clinical trial associated assays to assess the molecular and biochemical outcomes in gene therapy patients.

The Associate Project Scientist will also be responsible for development and quality control of assays to measure gene transfer and expression, overseeing the team of SRA’s performing these studies, writing reports to support regulatory filings, and writing scientific manuscripts describing the research results. The Associate Project Scientist position is a 12 month non-Senate position.
