The Department of Psychology at UCLA seeks to hire a tenure-track assistant or early associate professor in the field of Psycholinguistics/Neurolinguistics. We are interested in applicants who are pursuing innovative research in the cognitive and neural mechanisms of language. We particularly seek work that uses experimental strategies to integrate careful linguistic modeling with biological and/or computational approaches.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field of study (e.g., Psychology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science). The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong track record of productive research and strong potential for securing extramural support. In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate a history of, or the potential for, contributing to the teaching, mentoring, and service missions of the Department and University. Individuals with a history of mentoring students under-represented in the sciences are encouraged to apply and to describe their experience in a cover letter.
