Position description

The Neuroscience Theme within the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA invites applications for candidates at the assistant professor level for a tenure track position. Positions will be joint with a primary appointment in a basic science department (e.g. Human Genetics, Biological Chemistry, Physiology or Neurobiology) and a secondary appointment in a clinical Department (i.e. Neurology, Psychiatry or Neurosurgery). Candidates with a Ph.D., M.D. or both will be considered; applicants at the Associate or Professor levels may also be considered. Applicants with outstanding records of accomplishment and ambitious future research goals spanning the entire spectrum of Neurosciences will be considered. Applicants with a primary interest in applying genomic technologies or computational methods to understanding basic mechanisms of neurological and psychiatric diseases are encouraged to apply.
