UCLA Law School invites applications from individuals interested in teaching a specialty course in its advanced curriculum for the Spring 2018 semester. These are academic, non-tenure track, part-time, limited-term appointments.
Decisions will be made on a rolling basis and the timing of decisions will vary according to a variety of factors including curricular need and course scheduling and the particular specialty course the applicant proposes to teach.
Applicants are encouraged to discuss in their cover letters their respective areas of professional expertise, the courses they have previously taught or propose to teach as well as any record of research or other creative work such as publications, law reform activities and significant contributions to the profession or professional organizations.
Requirements: A J.D. or equivalent advanced degree; excellent academic record; substantial, distinguished legal practice experience with a record of research or other creative work such as publications, law reform activities and significant contributions to the profession or professional organizations; experience within a distinct legal specialty; demonstrated commitment to teaching; prior successful law school teaching experience strongly preferred.
