The Department of Urology, Institute of Urologic Oncology (IUO), and Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center (JCCC), at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) seek a Urologic Oncologist at the Associate or Full Professor level for Director of the IUO Kidney Cancer Program, as well as the Henry Alvin and Carrie L. Meinhardt Chair for Kidney Cancer Research. The candidate should possess broad experience and demonstrated excellence in all aspects of open, percutaneous, laproscopic and robotic surgery, as well as image-guided therapy. In addition, the candidate should have special interest and expertise in kidney cancer clinical trials and translational research, including genomics and cancer immunotherapy. We seek an accomplished leader for this position with a record of extraordinary success as a cutting-edge clinician, effective educator, and accomplished scholar to lead the multi-disciplinary kidney cancer program. Basic qualifications requires the minimum of an MD. Candidates should be fully engaged in providing state-of-the-art, patient-centered oncologic care. Candidates should be enthusiastic about engaging in academically productive scientific inquiry, educating medical students, residents, and fellows, serving the university community, and augmenting an active clinical program. Although not required, candidates who have competed successfully for peer-reviewed funding are strongly encouraged to apply.
