Position description

The Stein Eye Institute and Department of Ophthalmology at the University of California, Los Angeles, David Geffen School of Medicine invite applications for a full-time faculty member in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at the level of associate or full professor. Full professor candidates will also be considered for appointment to the Leonard Apt Endowed Chair in Pediatric Ophthalmology.

We seek a pediatric ophthalmologist with strong national or international reputation who is interested in significant medical and surgical activity, teaching of residents and fellows, research, and publication in professional and scientific journals. Duties include teaching, medical and surgical practice, research, and academic administrative and professional service.

Salary and rank will be commensurate with credentials and experience. Applicants should have completed fellowship training or equivalent in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, hold American Board of Ophthalmology certification or equivalent, and be eligible for medical licensure in California and the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
