The Ahmanson Translational Imaging Division of the Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is currently recruiting an attending physician at the Assistant Professor level to serve in the nuclear medicine clinic of the Ronald Reagan Hospital and the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
The candidate must hold an M.D. degree and is expected to contribute significantly to the clinical service and the clinical and translational research programs in molecular imaging and therapy. The candidate must be boarded in nuclear medicine. Training experience in clinical therapeutic nuclear medicine applications is required as part of the Division’s integration of molecular imaging diagnostics and therapeutics. Receptor based imaging training (prostate cancer and neuroendocrine tumors) is a condition for appointment.
The Ahmanson Translational Imaging Division has well-equipped imaging probe and drug discovery labs, molecular & cell biology labs, two Siemens RDS self-shielded cyclotrons and radiochemistry facilities, preclinical PET/CT and bioluminescence imaging systems and clinical PET/CT and SPECT/CT. The Division also has well established clinical programs and collegial relationships with the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Departments of Urology, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Medicine, Surgery and Neurology that are important to the success of the selected candidate for this position.
