The Department of Physiology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA invites applications for a non-tenure track position, Project Scientist.
The qualified applicant should have a strong background in protein biochemistry and structural biology, as well as a scientific interest in the physiology of membrane transport proteins. We are especially interested in candidates with a desire to learn about the structure/function relationship of membrane transporters. Candidates are expected to have an M.D. and/or Ph.D. and a demonstrated interest in addressing fundamental physiological problems as demonstrated by high quality publications. Experience with advanced cell expression systems and structural biology methods like X-ray crystallography and cryo electron microscopy are required.
