Position description

UCLA Lab School seeks passionate and dedicated teachers who can inspire and nurture a love of
knowledge through inquiry and project-based learning.
We are currently seeking a demonstration teacher for our Learning in Two Languages, Spanish
immersion program, for children ages 4-12 (the equivalent of Pre-Kindergarten through grade 6).
Teachers at the UCLA Lab School are considered demonstration teachers, where they are expected
to collaborate, engage in research and share their practices with others through outreach. Teaching
involves innovation, creativity and passion. At UCLA Lab School multi-subject content is taught using
an interdisciplinary approach. Such integration enhances the learning of all subjects and deepens
students’ connections with curriculum.
Part of the UCLA Graduate School of Education & Information Studies, UCLA Lab School has
established a reputation for innovative practice over its 130-year history and provides a stimulating
and supportive working environment for teachers.
Selected candidates will be invited for an interview, and may be asked to conduct a demonstration

Masters (Preferred)
BCLAD in Spanish (Preferred)
Special Education Credential (Preferred)
5 or more years of teaching experience required, with at least three of those years in an immersion program (Spanish-English)
