Position description

The Zhou laboratory (http://zhoulab.dgsom.ucla.edu/) at UCLA, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, is looking to recruit an outstanding Project Scientist to conduct bioinformatics research in non-invasive precision oncology. Blood-based diagnostics, i.e. liquid biopsy, presents the most promising direction for non-invasive early detection of cancer. We use cutting-edge genomic and bioinformatic approaches to develop advanced approaches for non-invasive early cancer diagnosis and monitoring. The individual sought will develop innovative big data analytic approaches. Candidate will publish their findings in high-profile, peer-reviewed journals and be co-inventors on patents related to their work.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent, demonstrated project leadership experience, and excellent programming/informatics skills and record of research performance.
