Position description

An exciting post-doctoral research opportunity is available in Dr. Dinesh Rao’s lab in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. We are seeking a highly motivated fellow with interests in post-transcriptional gene regulation in leukemia. We have recently published several papers on the role of microRNAs and RNA-binding proteins impact normal and malignant hematopoiesis. The lab is an exciting place to do cutting-edge research with eminent translational possibilities and the potential to develop independent research projects. The fellow will have the opportunity to work with students and technicians at various levels of training and collaborate with clinicians to develop translational concepts. In addition, we have several collaborators that are helping us develop cutting-edge molecular biological techniques, which presents an outstanding opportunity to do interdisciplinary research. Lastly, excellent mentoring will be provided by the PI in the fellow’s career development.
