Position description

The UCLA Department of Music invites applications for a part-time lecturer position in flute. Salary commensurate with applicant qualifications and experience; percentage of appointment commensurate with studio size.
Responsibilities will include individual instruction and recital supervision of primarily undergraduate and music education flute students, participation in departmental auditions and juries, and recruitment of new students—all in collaboration with the existing flute lecturer, who will teach primarily graduate and upper-division undergraduate performance majors. Additional responsibilities may include teaching flute studio class, coaching woodwind chamber music ensembles, and performing on faculty chamber music recitals.
Applicants should have an established regional, national, and/or international reputation as a performer and teacher with expertise and experience in broad repertoires. A post-baccalaureate degree is preferred.
