LECTURER POSITION IN CHEMISTRY AND BIOCHEMISTRY

The free-standing Minor in Science Education at UCLA seeks applications for a one-quarter lecturer to co-teach Science Education 100 during the Winter quarter of 2019. Responsibilities will include lecturing, leading student discussions, overseeing student field experiences, conducting regularly scheduled office hours, preparing students for the credential content exams, and writing and grading student work. Qualified candidates must have a doctorate in science or science education, a state science credential, and a minimum of five years of experience teaching secondary school science. Experience teaching in public, high-need schools, school administrative leadership, and familiarity with the UCLA teacher education program are desired.
