The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at UCLA, Division of Anatomic Pathology, is seeking an outstanding MD pathologist to serve in the sections of Cardiothoracic and Autopsy pathology. AP or AP/CP board certification is essential. Cardiovascular and pulmonary fellowship training and/or prior independent sign out experience in these areas is highly desired. The appointment would be at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full professor, commensurate with experience.

The candidate will be responsible for clinical service coverage in signing out cases on the cardiothoracic surgical pathology service, autopsy service and general intraoperative frozen sections. UCLA has a strong and active cardiothoracic pathology division, and a busy cardiothoracic clinical service, and the candidate would join a team of cardiothoracic and autopsy pathologists. The candidate will share responsibility for training residents and fellows. Creative contributions in clinical, educational or research projects is expected. The salary range for this position is $250,000 – 450,000. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan (https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf), which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
