Position description
The UCLA Department of Family Medicine seeks full-time BC family physicians to join its teaching faculty. Academic appointment will be in the Health Sciences Clinical series, rank and salary commensurate with level of experience. Responsibilities include clinical care, inpatient care, outpatient procedures, teaching within the resident and fellowship programs, participation in clinical research, quality improvement, community and public service, curriculum design and other scholarly endeavors that will lead to academic promotion. Experience caring for individuals from medically underserved backgrounds and providing care to a highly diverse population of patients. We invite applicants with a commitment to community medicine, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. The position offers opportunities to teach medical students. California medical licensure required.
The posted UC salary scales (https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/compensation/index.html) set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5, Scale 5. The salary range for this position is $129,800- $342,900 depending on Rank and Step. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan (https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf), which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Qualifications
M.D. or D.O. degree and Prior Experience
Be board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine
Ability to obtain a Medical License in the State of California
Commitment to providing care to diverse populations and under-served populations
Demonstrated experience in the teaching of residents and medical students
Current practice caring for adult and pediatric hospital inpatients.
U.S. Trained.
