Position description

UCLA Anderson plans to hire a postdoctoral scholar to join the Management & Organizations area in the summer of 2024. The position will have an expected term of 2 years.

This postdoctoral scholar position is intended to support a talented scholar doing research relevant to management. The Management & Organizations group currently has strengths in social psychology and organizational behavior. Candidates whose research interests intersect with one of these strengths will be preferred.

Before beginning this position, fellows must have completed a PhD (or at least a successful dissertation defense) in a discipline related to strategy (e.g., economics, management, sociology) and have demonstrated an interest in and ability to advance organizational behavior-relevant research. Candidates will also be evaluated on their interest in and enthusiasm for building ties across disciplines and across the university, and the extent to which they are committed to the success and mentorship of students from underrepresented and underserved populations.

Once hired, the fellow will be expected to continue to pursue his or her research program, as well as to engage in departmental activities that promote the success of our diverse research community (e.g., attending research seminars, mentoring graduate students, exploring research collaborations). The fellow will be encouraged to work both independently and in collaborations of their choosing to enrich the empirical research contributions of the school.

Review of candidates for the position will begin on April 8. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, two letters of recommendation, a representative manuscript, and a research statement describing their interests (including any specific faculty collaborators and/or projects they would like to pursue as part of the fellowship). In order to receive full consideration, please submit your application materials online at https://recruit.apo.ucla.edu/JPF09246

For questions about this position, please contact Prof. Sanford DeVoe at sanford.devoe@anderson.ucla.edu.
